About the Jewelry
Harmony believes that jewelry is an essential path to self-expression, and feels great satisfaction in providing beautiful and special pieces that resonate with a woman's inner style and enhance her sense of self.
At Harmony Scott Jewelry, you will find only genuine, natural pearls and gemstones set or wrapped in sterling silver, 22kt gold vermeil, or 18kt gold. Each gemstone and pearl is carefully chosen by Harmony and checked for quality, color, and perfection.
Incredible patience and time is necessary in creating this beautiful jewelry. Each piece begins and ends with Harmony's refined sense of color and proportion, as she takes many hours to perfect a new design before passing it on to her skilled artisans to create her limited-edition line.
From the tiniest details of dainty earrings, to the bold and creative leather work in her bracelets and amulets, to her signature branch and mandala styles, the wire-wrapping technique and design are exceptional. Harmony's use of sumptuous colors and materials, combined with detailed technique, her passion for perfection in each detail, and her positive heartfelt intention that is manifested with every piece continues to enchant the women who collect her work.
Meet the Team
Colorado to Bali and Back
After creating every design for the first five years, the demand for her jewelry could not be filled by the hands of one person.
Harmony found a creative lifestyle solution, blending her attraction to Asian culture (she was a Chinese major and grew up in Hawaii after all) with her creative business. She went to Bali, a small island known for remarkable craftsmanship, and a special place where conscious balance of the spiritual and material world is practiced amongst a creative global community.
Since 2002, she has worked in partnership with a small group of Indonesian artisans near Ubud, teaching them her intricate technique and high standards of quality in her original designs.
Harmony's involvement in the process is deep and essential, with her touch on every piece.
The Beginning of Harmony Scott Jewelry Design
Raised by bohemian hippie parents between the tropical island of Kaua’i and the Colorado Rockies, Harmony was surrounded by artists and entrepreneurs from a young age that encouraged her to pursue a unique path.
After college, Harmony was fortunate to apprentice with a close family friend, Elaine Greenspan in the ancient Etruscan art of gold granulation and jewelry fabrication.
Encouraged by her mentor, Harmony began making her jewelry from a rustic cabin on the top of Aspen Mountain in 1998. Working by the light of lanterns and in full view of the majestic peaks around, Harmony discovered her distinctive style, explored and mastered her technique, and began establishing her loyal following as Aspen's Favorite Designer.
The Roaring Fork Valley's Favorite Designer
Nineteen years ago, you could find Harmony selling her jewelry at Aspen's local markets, fairs, and festivals. The ski life, gorgeous mountains and cool locals inspired her designs to blend practicality, beauty, and expressive femininity.
When demand for her designs continued to grow, Harmony opened her first shop in Carbondale in 2001, right in the living room of her home on Main Street! She continued to make and sell jewelry, attracting a loyal following with the locals and visitors of the Roaring Fork Valley. Harmony had a shop in Aspen for 12 years, and closed the shop in 2015 to create room in her life for a locally based design studio, and to focus on her flagship Carbondale shop and website.Blessings & Aloha,
