We usually photograph our earrings in the way that we think goes best- so if you like the photo, just choose "as shown" on the earring top selection tab. However, many people prefer an "earwire" or a "stud" on their earrings, so we have multiple options available. The choices on the website are "as shown", "stud", "leverback", and "wire". Harmony automatically pairs the earring with what she thinks goes best in each category, but below you will find a more extensive list of what we offer. If you would like a specific choice, just enter the name in the "notes" area of the shopping cart.

Leverback
Available in silver or gold vermeil. This is one of our favorite options because it is:
- Safe. The back "levers" up to close the earring so it won't come off unexpectedly. For people who have a tendency to lose their earrings, this is the best choice.
- Comfortable. The smooth, curved back will not poke you while you are on the phone.
- Subtle. Because of the thin wire, this will not overpower or distract from the earring design.
- Movement. A lot of our earrings are dangle styles, and they really look great when they move and sway!

Stud
Good for women who are sensitive to their ears "pulling", would like to hide their ear-hole, or like extra support for their earrings. This is also a good choice for extra long, dangly, or heavier styles (like chandeliers) that need support, and will also make the overall earring up to 1/3" shorter than if it was on a leverback or wire. We offer a variety of stud tops but we already pair the stud that best goes with the style of earring. Let us know if you have a specific request on stud style.
- Simple - This is a basic round ball, very simple and small. Available in silver or gold vermeil.
- Leaf - Harmony designed this to be small and organic, great with our more delicate and simple designs. Available in silver or gold vermeil.
- Flower - An exclusive Harmony Scott design with exquisite detail, and one of our largest, most supportive studs available. Great with a basic pearl drop or for extra support on one of our large "branch" earrings. Available in silver or gold vermeil.
- Drop - Another design from Harmony, this is a graceful shape in a medium size- silver only.

Wires
We have two styles in the wire, both available in silver or gold vermeil. The wire doesn't have a closure on the back – which means it can be easier to lose than the leverback. We always include a set of earring backs in case you like the wire but want extra security (but these can be a bit difficult to get on & off.)
- French wire is extra simple and discreet. Many brides like this because it is the most "invisible" of all our earring tops when seen from the side.
- Leaf wire - this is a new design exclusively from Harmony Scott, very dainty, discreet and organic. It looks equally good with short and long earrings, simple to elaborate.

Hoops
Only certain styles of earrings are available on our hoop earring top, which is available in two sizes - small and medium. We usually photograph the available styles on the hoop, so all you need to do is choose "as shown" if you like the photo of the earring on the hoop. The hoop is great for the more simple styles of pearls and gemstones, and creates a bolder look when paired with these designs. Our hoop has a wire that "locks down" behind the ear for security. However, all the hoops can be worn with or without the gemstone or pearl drop for versatility - meaning you can wear the hoop without the drop - this also means you need to be careful to "lock down" the earwire when you remove your hoops so the drops don't come off by mistake.

Clip-ons
Most of our earrings can be made into clip-ons. There is a small additional charge to add clip-ons to your order. You can purchase clip on earring tops on the accesories page. Click here. Just let us know which earrings should be placed on the clip-ons in your order. Please specify this in the shipping note with your order, or contact us via email to be sure that this is possible.
