| Q.
What
happens if my jewelry breaks?
|
| A.
Any
defect that shows up under normal wear for up to one year after
purchase, we will be happy to fix for you free of charge. After
one year, we will charge a small, nominal fee for materials and
labor, shipping and insurance. Please email
us any questions or concerns you may have.
|
 |
| Q.
What
is "Normal Wear"?
|
| A.
That
means you:
1. Have not worn your jewelry in the shower,
tub, pool, or hot springs.
Many
water additives and chemicals will tarnish silver and damage pearls
and some soft gemstones. Some locations have water that is so full
of tarnishing elements, it is best to store your silver jewelry
in a plastic bag to protect it..
2. Have not dropped your jewelry. If you drop
a glass on the floor, will it break? You bet, and so will gemstones
if treated roughly! This is especially important with large stone
pendants, larger cuts of gemstones, and some of the softer gemstones.
Please be careful when putting on and removing your jewelry, stand
over a rug to be safe.
3. Keep pearls away from chemicals! Put your
pearls on after the hairspray, and don't wear rings or bracelets
when you are using cleaning agents or chemicals.

 |
| Q.
How
do I choose a length for my jewelry? |
|
A.
The best way to estimate the right length for you is to measure
a necklace or bracelet that fits you the way you like. People
have very different neck & wrist sizes, so when in doubt measure!
Many of our pieces are adjustable, so take into account that a necklace
we are offering at 16" with 2" of adjustment will be able
to be lengthened up to 18" long. If you are buying a
gift for someone here are some guidelines that will help:
Necklaces
12-14"is
choker length. It will fit up on the neck. This is a
good length for children, petite or slim women, or people who really
like chokers (not everyone does!).
15"
should sit right at the base of the neck, near the hollow of the
throat. Again, people have very different neck sizes, so it is best
to check before ordering a necklace of this length.
16"
is a standard short necklace length. This should come about
1" to 2" below the hollow of the throat. Perfect
for ladies who like a shorter length without being too tight.
18"
is a standard medium length, it should hit about 3" to 4"
below the base of the throat.
20"
and longer, is a great choice for women who like their necklaces
to come to the center of the chest, be worn over turtlenecks or
sweaters, or who have larger neck sizes.
Bracelets
7"
to 8" are the most standard bracelet lengths. However,
there is a great variety in wrist sizes. Please measure to
be sure. Many of our bracelets are adjustable up to 1/2"
longer, so take that into account when ordering.

| Q.
What
if I need Clip-on Earrings? |
| A.
Most of our earrings can
be made into clip-ons. Please specify this in the shipping note
with your order, or contact us via email
to be sure that this is possible. |
 |
| Q.
Do
you do jewelry adjustments or Special Orders?
|
| A.
We
can shorten and lengthen, or change clasps and earwires on all our
jewelry. We are also happy to make earrings or a bracelet to compliment
any jewelry on our site. Most adjustments are either free or for
a small fee. For extensive changes, please email us and we will
do our best to accommodate your request.
Our
One-of-a-Kind pieces are unique, but we can often offer the same
design in a different color, or a similar design in a similar color.
Please email
us with you questions or concerns.
Special
Orders mean you are asking us to make a piece that is unique and
specifically for you! We are happy to answer any questions you may
have, just email us. However, we are a small company and some special
requests may be outside of our expertise and capabilities.
Remember,
Special Order/Sales Items are Final Sale Only!
Special orders are just that; we are making the piece specifically
for you, and not refundable or exchangeable. Make sure you want
it before you order it !

| Q.
What
do I do if my jewelry gets dirty or tarnished?
|
| A.
Silver
jewelry can be stored in a clean plastic bag if tarnishing seems
to be a problem. Many locations have chemicals in their water that
get into the air and tarnish silver jewelry more quickly. Also,
don't wear your silver jewelry in the shower, tub, pool, or especially
hot springs! The chemicals and additives in most water will quickly
tarnish silver.
We
recommend using any jewelry buff cloth to gently remove tarnish
from silver. For more serious issues, we recommend JewelBrite tm
tarnish remover cream and JewelBrite tm jewelry cleaning dip. You
can use their cream with a soft toothbrush to get even the most
intricate metal work clean, and their jewelry dip will not harm
pearls or gemstones. These products are non-toxic and biodegradable
(made out of coconut and banana oils) and are absolutely fantastic!
Visit Jewelbrite.com
if you are interested in purchasing JewelBrite tm . If you are in
a real fix, you can try a gentle toothpaste with a soft toothbrush,
concentrate only on the silver chain and try not to touch pearls
or gemstones. Before rinsing, use a clean, dry cloth to gently polish
the silver chain and remove tarnish, then rinse in warm filtered
water and air dry. Makeup or grime can be removed from pearls and
gemstones with warm filtered water and a tiny bit of gentle handsoap,
rub gently with a soft cloth to clean, and air dry. We do not recommend
the silver cleaners, or chemical silver dip that you find at most
supermarkets. They are highly toxic and will damage your pearls
and gemstones!

| Q.
What
happens if I lose an earring?
|
| A.
In most cases we can match the
other earring. Just send us the single and we will match it for ½
the price of the original earring pair, plus shipping and insurance.
If we are unable to match it we can usually offer you a similar design
and color. Just email
us! |
