Bloodstone is the traditional zodiac stone of Aries, March 21 - April 20. It is a variety of Jasper with extra iron oxide, and is also known as Blood Jasper. Bloodstone has been treasured since ancient times and was often carved into religious images by Medieval Christians.
Known as the stone of strength, vitality, and courage, Bloodstone promotes honesty, integrity, and healing in relationships. A centering and grounding stone, it helps to clear obstacles while giving strength and purpose to "present time" awareness. Bloodstone is said to aid in attracting abundance and prosperity to the wearer. It supports the 1st or Root Chakra.
